I have a server on my local network. So far I have it sync my laptop and phone's Joplin and Calendar when I get home. I was thinking it would be neat to host my rss/podcast feeds on my nextcloud so that the read/listend to passes around.

Is nextcloud generally the way to go with this or has the community gone some other path?

Clients are a linux laptop and pixel with graphene if it matters.

I haven't tried it myself yet, but there is a GPodder sync server app for Nextcloud that can let you sync subscriptions and play time to any compatible app. This would probably be the best solution as it would use your existing setup.

I'm using GPodder with AntennaPod on my smartphone and Kasts on my PC. Works good if you don't switch between smartphone and PC very often (it syncs every x minutes with the server, so it can get out of sync if you start using your other device and sync hadn't happened yet)

This is the way.

I use Gpoddersync to keep my phone and tablet in sync, but I have one podcast that keeps glitching out and redownloading over and over. Not sure why.

I am down to try it out. I also ask as I am willing to change my work flow here if a suggestion feels better.
