Does it exist? I miss when YikYak was for hometowns and you could view other cities or comment/post there if in range. I don't like its current state after coming back. It was like the neighbour apps but less facebooky with a crowd under 50, was the ultimate local news source.

I'd love an app like that.

A true app or program though, running on devices. Something that could set up ad hoc networks or relays. Locally it shouldn't be reliant on the Internet.
