As a poor European:
Coders saying "but me a cup of coffee" for $8.
I buy a pack of coffee of 250g for โ $3. An average cup, according to Google, is 7.5g.
That's $0.40 for a cup.
(Or about 9 beers)
7.5g is a fairly weak cup. An espresso is typically around double that.
