F-droid is a bit slow rolling out updates as they recompile everything themselves. The only reason to use ffupdater would be to speed it up, I suppose.

Some Rules
- Posting a link to a website containing tracking isn't great, if contents of the website are behind a paywall maybe copy them into the post
- Don't promote proprietary software
- Try to keep things on topic
- If you have a question, please try searching for previous discussions, maybe it has already been answered
- Reposts are fine, but should have at least a couple of weeks in between so that the post can reach a new audience

I just installed it to have a look for myself - there are a couple of browsers available to download through FFUpdater, that aren't available from F-droid (Iceraven and bromite, maybe others too, I didn't check them all), so that's another reason for installing FFUpdater, if you want to try those.
Bromite is dead. Cromite replaced it.
Cromite isn't included in FFUpdater, though, but it does mention that bromite is no longer maintained.
There are so many different "privacy browsers" for Android, that it can be hard to keep track of them. FFUpdater is the one place I can find all of the good browsers, as well as information about each (including Warnings on why you may not want to use them).
