Well, I'm obviously a fediverse user now. Mastodon.world answered donation needs too!
I’m happy to say I’ve not used Twitter since they killed third party apps. Same reason I stopped using Reddit. Many other issues contributed, but in both cases the third party app situation was the breaking point.
I think of Twitter , or X, does go away everyone's mental health will improve.

I believe in us. We can bring that number to 60% or higher by the end of this year, if we all do our part.

I am a Twitter "user" in the sense that I read the site for a few minutes every few days to see the latest news or drama.
Recently all the Elon drama is boring. So I'm in that decreased user count.
I uninstalled the app after the rebrand. Twitter bird used occasionally, X app sat there looking like a porn app so I uninstalled.
Musk: "Totally intentional, everyone. This is exactly what I planned for. I am, however, going to sue the US Government for allowing freedom of the press to report it."

Where did they go to though? Mastodon hasn't seen any significant growth since the last spike.
Probably no where. They likely just left Twitter and carried on with whatever else they were doing.
