Do you guys really buy into these self ads for influencers

It's a tale as old as time: YouTuber's PR team or the influencer themselves post the influencers face to /G/ and say "is he our savior?". Then people take the bait and ask who, along with original poster. The person then looks up guys name and watches their YouTube videos.

Somehow πŸ™„ the mods just don't see or take down the post! As if it's legitimate chatter about some influencer, who isn't tech.

...Do you guys actually fall for this shit?

People have been falling for this shit on every 4chan board, in fact, every forum in the history of the internet.

Bait threads are the internets bread and butter

I am not smart. I mean, I'm on /g/ for a start.

Better than being on /vt/.

No one is astroturfing /g/. You’re just falling for bait, people just like talking about people they watch. Unless you think it’s Azulas PR managers making her daily /co/ threads too, your default assumption should be its just someone looking to discuss a personality they enjoy.
