From fraud and lies, yes they should. The government should 100% go after orgs that are misrepresenting their health and finances.

The fact that a crypto bro ceo is upset about oversight is just a sign they need to keep going.

This is illegal in most parts of the world already though.

I'll admit I'm a filthy passer by who hasn't read the article - is the CEO suggesting taxpayers' money be used to compensate in these instances? I don't think rich people should be entitled to the same/similar amount of protection available for those on the opposite end of the wealth spectrum...

Nah it's just a crypto company that is being sued but it looks like the crypto company won't get fined. Judge made important ruling that more or less undercut them.
