Meters are fine too, they're basically just yards.

Kilometers, degrees Celsius, and kilograms can fuck right off.

we need a gigacelsius scale. Where water freezes at 0 and water boils at 10, celsius taken to its logical conclusion

That would be decacelsius. In gigacelsius water would boil at 10^-7^.
