Few fixes, ability to change server API URL (don't yet, I haven't released the server to self-host at this time), Native android 15 support (quite annoying with window insets I must say).

v1.2.1 Massively improve support for tram/metro stops, especially the Sheffield Supertram and the Tyne & Wear Metro. Overhauled the viewing stop activity with a RecyclerView instead of a ListView which looks a lot cleaner! Map improvements such as colour-coding metro/tram stops a dark yellow.

The settings page has been fully-rewritten with the added option to export and import saved stops as .json files.
Also, settings are no longer saved in the database, instead, they use the AndroidX preferences manager.

At some point in February (definitely before the 14th) I will be migrating this Lemmy instance to a VPS, as I am decommissioning the dedicated machine it currently runs on to cut my spending.

The Nearby TAB has been fully rewritten.

There are now 2 tabs within the Nearby TAB, one for the map and one for the list. The map you can move around to look for stops that are less nearby you and the list behaves as the list behaved before (with the closest stop to you at the top of the list and updates as you move around).

If you don't like this new layout, you can switch back to the old split-screen style in the new settings page, found on the home TAB. However, this old layout will not receive any updates/new features.

The website is now live at bussin.uk! Pretty happy with the domain

This update provides a fix for the OpenStreetMap widget being hidden behind the bottom navigation bar.

What is Bussin?

Bussin is a new Android UK bus times app. It aims to bring together bus times from around the UK, not limited to one app whilst being quick and not painful to use :)

I am developing this app as a school project which means I do have to take breaks in development in order to write up what I've done, which can take a while. I have full intentions to continue development of this app, just might take longer than usual.

My planned features are, taken directly from my school writeup :P, are:

• Shows nearby bus stops.
• Shows live times.
• Saved stops.
• Clear communication of bus cancellations.
• Easy to navigate UI.
• Stability.
• Shows location of the nearby bus stops (on a map).
• “Take me home” button.
• Material You 3 Design.
• Performant.
• Show the route of the bus when clicks in the timetable list.

In regards to open/closed source, it will remain closed source until I have submitted and received the mark for the project. After that, I am open to discuss it again.
