Your best bet is virtualization. I use that for my CAD software, games that dont run under linux and Microsoft office

This allows me to only use Windows that 10% of the time I need my software and be using linux for all other stuff.

Only issue is that it requires some effort to get it going and some additional hardware if you want to run both at the same time.

It is like that, it isnt so much a personal issue as I can run the car as much as I want.

Its more of a "we want to be good for the environment... But everyone needs a new car. And its mandatory"

Some people are also forced by their job to lease a new car every 4 years.

It so bad that I cant even lease a 400km old car from 2022 ... No I had to have a new one and if I dont want a car I need to find i different job.

Shit's fucking dumb.

What? A well looked after engine will live 20-40 years and are easily repaired.

If you use it as a replacement, all is well. It is a big if though:

In the Netherlands advocado is actually placed in the NOT a meat replacement categorie because of its lack in nutritional values. The winner is Tofu and Tempah for meat replacement and the 'vegatarische hamburger'. Here its just a 'super food' compared to other fruits. And people eat it like that.

Cattle is always ineffective compared to most other foods (next to other issues) and we should try to replace meat with replacement products. However we should aim for an efficient replacement that can be produced locally in each country specific. For you that can be advocado, in the Netherlands that is probably going to be soja.

I just wished the industry finally made something as tasty as meat..

https://8fit.com/nutrition/health-benefits-of-avocados/ Its being promoted as being healthy, even super healthy.

All jokes aside advocados require a lot of farmland and water that is better spend on better crops. https://greenly.earth/en-us/blog/ecology-news/what-is-the-avocados-environmental-impact

Yes to everything except the advocados. I hate superfoods and what they do to the soil.

Sure, I (as a millenials) may dislike, or not understand, the kids as they are doing new things. I mean i have NO idea what that new TikTok NPC stuff is about and I am to afraid to ask..

But unlike boomers we do know what it is like to struggle for our place in the world and we do not have that skewed of a view. We do understand that sometimes you may even feel trapped or can't see a way out of a dooming scenario.

We understand that trying to live your life is actually hard. Just like Gen x understands that as wel.

Boomer hate is not coming from them hating our punk years or different music taste. Boomer hate is coming from their inability to accept that they had it better then all other generations and continuing to "proof" that every of our issues is easily fixable by "not buying advocado toast".
