Was thinking of this after a conversation I had on a thread about dreams. Someone joked “I was dreaming of the events of The Matrix, then I was woken up by someone worried my dream was infringing the Wachowski’s copyrights”, and it turned into a whole train of thought in my mind, like violating IP law because you stole fire from Zeus which was his intellectual property.

Hello all, I'm looking for a switch/kvm for my home setup. ive been through a few tries and none of them have worked for one reason or another.

I have two machines,

A windows 11 work laptop

• USB-C out, both USB and display port.
• HDMI out
• USB 2.0 out

A Ubuntu based personal server

• Displayport out
• USB-C out (no Displayport)

For displays, I have a single double wide 4k monitor

Additionally I have a USB-C hub all my peripherals are connected to.

I've gone 47 years without knowing that.

On quite a few news websites there's a new hot topic how the Australian "Ghost" app got hacked by Interpol and has led to prevention of murders and resulted in a few arrests.

Is there any information out there on what security methods Ghost used and how it was exploited?

Snapchat is reserving the right to put its users’ faces in ads, according to terms of service related to its “My Selfie” tool (formerly “AI Selfies”), which allows users and their friends to create AI-generated images trained on their selfies.

I want to be able to download and/or access the resource The International Encyclopedia of Media Literacy https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/book/10.1002/9781118978238.

I can't seem to find a pdf version anywhere and was hoping to read it via an 'institution' that provides access.

Is it possible to access a university library that provides access (so to speak) to books otherwise only available via subscription?

Alternatively, does anyone know where hard to find books like these might be available?
