If it compiles it works, right?

I'm not gonna act like I read it all.

I've lurked on reddit for the past decade or so and just wanted to get an idea of how others like me have gotten to the point where they feel more comfortable joining the conversation. Thanks, all.

I currently use KeepassXC that is synced through NextCloud. The sync isn't very elegant, especially on my phone. So I'm looking for a new password manager, which has a native server sync support that I can self host. What do y'all recommend? I need at least a phone app and a browser integration that can autofill.

Basically the title. There are other privacy focused+free search engines, such as duckduckgo, startpage and brave search. What makes Kagi worth the $10/month?

Upvote RSS is a self-hosted project I've been working on that generates RSS feeds from social aggregation websites like Lemmy, Reddit, and Hacker News. You can subscribe to Lemmy communities, subreddits, and Hacker News while filtering to only the top posts. It will embed Reddit post media (videos, images, galleries), and you can optionally include parsed article content, AI-generated summaries, top comments, and more. Here are some of the features:

  • Supports Lemmy communities, subreddits, Hacker News, and more to come
  • Configurable filtering to dial in the right number of posts per day in your feed reader
  • Embedded post media: videos, galleries, images
  • Parsers to extract clean content and add featured images
  • AI article summaries
  • Estimated reading time, score, and permalinks to the original post
  • Top comments
  • NSFW filtering/blurring (Reddit only for now)
  • Custom Reddit domain
  • Light/dark mode for feed previews

Here's the GitHub link if you'd like to give it a spin:

And the preview website (not all options are available here):

It's a proprietary, long-range, low-latency wireless protocol. I won't be adopting it even though I have a bunch of Unifi equipment, but it's interesting to see what protocols are springing up.

If you asked me like 4-8 years ago, I felt kind of neutral about things. Now I don't feel an ounce bit patriotic or proud enough to even state that I'm an American.

Now, when I see an American flag around, I see it as a symbol of fascism, anti-intelluctialism, neo-nazism, and late-stage capitalism amongst other things. If there's an American flag flying on a car, I can totally see that person possessing at least one of those qualities.

I suppose it's good to be self aware and not blindly feel patriotic and ignoring that your country needs improvement.

I don't know what I'm expecting in the comments here but just thought I would get this off my chest.
